2007 Biz Expo Vendor Information

Important Dates

Show Dates:

The 2007 Biz Expo will be held at Meadowbrook Mall in Pittsburg from 10:00 am to 5:00 pm Friday, March 30th and Saturday, March 31st. You may stay until the mall closes on Friday evening if you wish. This is a busy time at the mall and many contacts can be made.

Business Description:

Your 65 word or less business description must be submitted by 5:00 pm March 15th to ensure its appearance in the 2007 Vendor Guide that will run in the Morning Sun.

Set-up Specifications:

Booth set-up may begin at Noon on Thursday, March 29th. All booths must be ready by 7:30 am on Friday morning for the Chamber Coffee.

Chamber Coffee:

The monthly Chamber Coffee, sponsored by Custom Awards Plus, Inc., will be held on Friday, March 30th in conjuction with the 2007 Biz Expo. The event will be held in the commons area of Meadowbrook Mall located at 202 E. Centennial at 7:45 am. Door prizes will be given away along with a chance for your business to address the crowd. Please read below for more information.

Tear Down:

Tear down will begin promptly at 5:00 pm on Saturday. Please do not tear down your display before then.

Booth Guidelines

Booth specifications:

Indoor: 10 ft x 8 ft draped booth with one table and two chairs.

Outdoor: 20 ft x 30 ft space with one table and two chairs.

Display specifications:

�As a courtesy to your neighbor, display items may not exceed 4 feet in height when displayed on sidewalls.

�No flyers are allowed to be placed on vehicles parked in Meadowbrook Mall Shopping Complex parking lots.

�No cleaning or shining products are allowed to be used inside the mall. These items make the floor slick and hazardous.

�Vendors planning to display equipment that runs on gasoline are not allowed to start their engines inside the mall at any time. That equipment should be pushed or pulled in on trailer by hand.

Important Information

�Please park at the back of the parking lot allowing customers to park in the spots nearest the mall entrances.

�In the event of inclement weather, please be advised that every mall business has a designated shelter area.

�There will be a vendor courtesy booth located in the mall sponsored by Accent Dental, LLC. Snacks and drinks will be available at no cost to vendors.

�There will be no security at the mall specifically for Biz Expo. Please make sure all valuable items are stored appropriately, displaying any items you wish to give away. You are free to cover you table with a cloth, if you prefer.

�The Pittsburg Area Chamber of Commerce will have a booth decorating contest. Judging will be done during the Chamber Coffee on Friday morning. The theme this year is Building Our Region. Three awards will be presented at the Chamber Coffee: Best of Show, Best Use of Theme, Best Use of Product.

�Vendors will have an opportunity to address the attendees of the Chamber Coffee during "Minute at the Mic". Each vendor has one minute to talk about their business or any specials that are being run during Biz Expo. Vendors need to sign up ahead of time by emailing admin@pittsburgkschamber.com.

�Vendors have an opportunity to donate items to be given away during the show. The Biz Expo committee will provide a large decorated basket to collect items in. The basket can be registered for by attendees at the hospitality booth during the show and will be given to one winner. �All indoor booths have electrical access. Wifi is available for accepting credit card payments.

Helpful Hints

�Stand in your booth rather than sitting and greet people as they approach or pass by your booth.

�A black and white sign with your company name will be provided. It is suggested that you use your own sign with a logo or color to draw attention.

�If you choose to supply your own signage, "S" hooks are the easiest method to hang items on your booth. Two hooks will be used by the Chamber to hang your sign we provide.

�To give attendees a better recollection of your company, decorate your booth. You may use the 2007 Biz Expo theme (Building Our Region) or use something to do with your line of business.

�Have a demonstration periodically during the show or have one running on a small TV.

�Have an individual giveway. When attendees are signing up, speak to them regarding your business. Multiple giveaways are also helpful. This keeps people around your booth if they are waiting to hear the winner.

�Have "freebies" to give to attendees. If it is something useful and has your company logo or information on the item, they are more likely to remember you.
